On Friday, March 4, 2022 the members of the Recology Golden Gate and Recology Sunset unit overwhelmingly rejected the employers last, best and final proposal. ⁣

“Our members sent a strong, clear message to Recology by rejecting the company’s last, best, and final offer. They’re fed up with how Recology treats them, and how Recology jeopardized their jobs and livelihood by their corrupt behavior in San Francisco. Our members will not allow Recology to do all of that at their expense!” said Principal Officer and Secretary-Treasurer John Bouchard. “This is one of the hardest, most dangerous jobs in the world, and the essential workers of Local 350 have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The employee-owners who handle the garbage and recycling in San Francisco deserve respect from Recology, because they are the best thing Recology has going for them right now.”⁣

Recology was notified of the outcome and have confirmed to meet to resume negotiations.
